I was very excited to be joining the team today. I woke up early to make breakfast and pour myself a glass of milk. Then, I glued myself to my laptop, eagerly awaiting 11 am for the much-awaited meeting to start.
The meeting started with a warm welcome from Aanchal and Dimpal. We were then assigned tasks for onboarding. I proceeded through each task slowly, completing them one by one. I also connected with other batchmates (jobmates, I guess) via WhatsApp, and we sorted out any queries regarding the portal among ourselves.
I got my preplanned schedule at 1:30 from L&d team and then went for lunch at 1:45 after finishing the todo tasks. I returned at 2:30 and saw a message from Souptik. We connected via Google Meet at 3 pm and had an amazing conversation. He cleared all my doubts and also asked a few things about me, and vice versa. We also discussed about gaming tech as he did some amazing work init aswell. We mostly ended the call at 3:30 pm, after which I watched the video for system setup from L&d team
Later, I joined the call at 4 pm, where we received a welcome session from the Sales and L&D teams. During the call, we got to know about company culture, structure, and goals. Later, we had a Q&A session about anything related.
I asked a few questions, mostly about finishing training early and the timeline to become a senior software engineer at rtCamp.
Afterwards, I did some exercise since all my tasks and todos were done while waiting for the next meeting at 6 pm.
At 6 pm, we had an interactive introduction session where all my jobmates introduced themselves, sharing their backgrounds and interests. It was a nice session overall to end the day with.
Lastly, I am writing this blog to log my first day at rtCamp.
