GoodFirstPicks is a platform that curates beginner-friendly GitHub issues using AI classification. Users can browse issues, claim them to signal intent to contribute, and earn points for completed contributions.

3. User Accounts

  • You must sign in with a valid GitHub account to claim issues
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms

4. Claiming Issues

  • Claiming an issue signals your intent to work on it — it does not guarantee exclusivity
  • Multiple users may claim the same issue simultaneously
  • Claims do not create any obligation between you and the repository maintainers
  • Points are awarded when a claim is marked as completed

5. Code of Conduct

Users must:

  • Be respectful to other contributors and maintainers
  • Not spam claims without intent to contribute
  • Follow the contributing guidelines of each repository
  • Not attempt to manipulate the points or leaderboard system

6. Disclaimers

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • AI-generated classifications (difficulty, scope) are estimates and may be inaccurate
  • We are not affiliated with the repositories whose issues are listed
  • Issue availability depends on the upstream repository and may change at any time

7. Intellectual Property

GoodFirstPicks is built by Leaveitblank. The issue content displayed on the platform is sourced from public GitHub repositories and belongs to their respective owners.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
